Normal/Combination Skin

All ages can have normal/

combinatin skin

Most people consider their skin to be "normal"

Combination and Normal Skin have a balance between

oil and hydration.

No feeling of dryness or tightness.

No excess shine or oily areas.

Normal oil production in T-zone but not excess oil or

extreme oiliness through out the day.

Any age can have normal/combination skin.

Oily Skin

Most common in teen age years

Oily skin is having excess oil found in the T-zone (chin, nose and forehead) but also in the cheek area. Skin will be oily to the touch and appears shiny throughout the day. Oily skin is also known to have larger pores than other skin types.

Cheeks can also have patchy dry areas as well as oiliness.

Oily skin can begin in the teen age years. Genetics is very common for oiliness.

Often oiliness begins subsiding as we age. Sometimes leaving scars from acne and uneven texture and discoloration.

Dry Skin

Any age can be dry but more common after 35 years

Dry skin can be genetic and caused from environmental effects. Such as excess sun, wind, medication and even products can strip skin of moisture. Dry skin can feel comfortable with no shine or oiliness.

Often cheeks may feel tight. Most common, the loss of moisture as we age causes skin to become dry and feel dry to the touch.

Sensitive Skin

Any age but more common as we age.

Sensitive skin is often very dry, red, tender to the touch and can itch and feel uncomfortable. Sensitive skin has a tendency toward blushing, skin flushing and often easily irritated by products, stress, environmental effects such as wind, sun, hot or cold water.

Genetics can play apart for sensitive skin as well, such as rosacea, broken capillaries, eczema or allergic dermatitis.
